Grand Seiko SBGR299

A new-for-2015 Grand Seiko, the SBGR299 is part of a new collection of Grand Seiko mechanical watches and they debut the 9S61 calibre, virtually identical to the popular 9S65 automatic but without a date. By eliminating the date window the watch has a cleaner, dressier look to it. It’s also unique in terms of size–at 42mm, it’s one of the largest Grand Seiko watches offered. Despite its dressy looks, it also features a screw down crown that will give the wearer confidence while swimming. The white/silver dial and blued hand also resemble the Grand Seiko SBGH001 Hi-Beat, allowing the owner to enjoy that great style at a much more affordable price point.
