Description
The Snowflake is the most famous Grand Seiko spring drive and for good reason. The dial was inspired by the snowy mountains visible from the window where it is made. In keeping with the idea of snow, it is “as light as a snowflake” because it’s made completely out of titanium. The spring drive movement combines the beauty and complexity of an ordinary mechanical movement but with none of the inaccuracy–the spring drive will be at least as accurate as a good quartz watch. It also has the only truly smooth seconds hand in the industry. Like all Grand Seiko spring drives, a power reserve subdial is used that lets you know how much energy is left in the mainspring before the watch dies.
The successor to the SBGA011.
